Autobiography
I am Tamas Kende a photoreporter and still-photographer.
I was working at Mafilm ( the Hungarian State Film Studio) between 1969-1987,
later I became a free-lance photographer and founded a photo studio in 1992. I
have taken a great number of stills in different Hungarian and foreign production
in the last more than 45 years. I took part in over 110 Hungarian movie and tv-
productions and twenty five coproductions. My photos have been published in
several illustrated magazines time to time, or in different posters, LP covers and
video boxes and in books. I could take portraits about numerous international stars
(e.g. Michael Sarrazine, Max von Sydow, Sadie Frost, Mario Adorf, Maggie Smith,
Charles Aznavour, Alan Bates, Chris Sarandon, Kelsey Grammer, Jason Alexander,
Jesse Martin, Geraldine Chaplin, Joss Ackland, Sam Waterstone, Christopher
Plummer, Kate Winslet, Kristin Scott Thomas, Keith Carradine, Joss Ackland, Elle
Fenning, John Turturro, Nathan Lane, Jereky Irons, Adrien Brody) etc.
In the last decades my photos had been visible more than dozen times both on
individual or in group exhibitions.
From 1994 I keep on taking part in the Hungarian press photo competition year by
year, where I could get a second prize in category portrait in 1995.
I was awarded by Bela Balazs prize in 1995, which is one of the most important
appreciations for photographers in Hungary.
